Meet Cheryl Miller
Cheryl offers cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) to adults struggling with depression, all types of anxiety difficulties, insomnia, chronic pain, psychological trauma, adjustment difficulties as well as assertiveness difficulties. She also has extensive experience in working with clients who present with obsessive-compulsive and related disorders (e.g., trichotillomania, skin picking, body dysmorphic disorder). In addition to offering CBT, Cheryl adds elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) and Compassion Focused Therapy in helping clients achieve their personal goals. She aims to provide psychotherapy in a warm, empathic, and safe environment in which clients feel comfortable to explore their struggles. Cheryl completed her M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Roosevelt University in Chicago, IL, USA. She received post-graduate training at various hospitals in the United States (e.g. Duke University Medical Centre), and in Canada (e.g CAMH – Mood Disorders Clinic, Mount Sinai Hospital, and UBC Hospital – Anxiety Disorders Clinic).
