Joanna C. McBride, M.A.
Joanna McBride began her own private practice in 2007. She founded Archways Centre for CBT in 2011 and carefully selected a team of cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) trained psychologists to join her in offering evidence-based practices for a range of problems. Joanna has extensive training and practice in treating mood and anxiety disorders, and is certified in CBT by the Canadian Association of Cognitive and Behavioural Therapies (CACBT-ACTCC) and by the Academy of Cognitive Therapy. She received her undergraduate training in the UK and USA (graduated 1995), and completed her graduate training in counselling psychology (graduated 1997) at the Adler School of Professional Psychology (Chicago/Toronto). Joanna credits her strong foundation in CBT to the additional training and calibre of supervision she received through working at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (Toronto). She has developed a special interest in helping individuals with OCD and related disorders, and she is currently an active member of the International OCD Foundation and The TLC Foundation for Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors.
